Comcore has successfully completed the installation and commissioning for the optical current transformer project of Yu-E DC back-to-back networking project

Release Time:2019-1-1

In March 2018, Comcore won the bid for the optical DC transformer project of Yu-E DC back-to-back networking directly invited by State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC). This indicates that Comcore's technical strength has been further recognized by the industry.

Yu-E DC back-to-back project, which is a flexible DC transmission project with the highest voltage level and the largest transmission capacity in the world, is a key project for SGCC to realize the grid pattern of "three transmission ends + three receiving ends". In this project, two existing 500kV transmission channels in Yu-E section are used to build one converter station in the south channel and the other converter station in the north channel, the scales of which are both 2500mW. Each back-to-back unit has a DC transmission capacity of 1250MW, DC voltage of ± 420kV, DC current of 1488A, and adopts pseudo bipolar connection mode.

In order to ensure the smooth implementation of the project, from design liaison, to product manufacturing, to product inspection, to installation and commissioning, Comcore strives to achieve excellence and perfection in every link. From the moment of receiving the equipment mobilization notice in October 2018, Comcore sent professional engineers to the site to provide all-weather technical support for the installation and commissioning of on-site equipment. As of January 1, 2019, the Fiber Optic Current Sensors (FOCS) provided by Comcore for this project has successfully passed various field tests without failure and entered the trial operation stage.
